Amazing 90-Day Weight Loss Challenge Starts Today!

Today is the first day of the AMAZING 90-Day Weight Loss Challenge. For those who haven't heard of it, I am going to give you the skinny on it. For 90 day, you have to meet a challenge. Some challenges are thought related, some are exercise related, some are food related. They are all meant to help us make healthy choices and lose weight over the next 90 days.

Some people who are doing the challenge are using supplements. I am using the Fat Fighters and ThermoFit that I mentioned in the previous post. The supplements are recommended, but optional.

We have a Facebook group for people who are doing the challenge. People who participate in that group will be eligible for surprise giveaways and for the drawing at the end of the challenge for a prize pack.

Weight Update, New Plan, and Fun Beach Pictures!

At the beginning of the year, I weighed 220 pounds. I weighed myself today and weighed 214 pounds. That isn't the result I was hoping for at this point, but it is better than nothing. I just can't help but dwell on the fact that I have only lost about a pound per week. While that is within the healthy weight loss guidelines published by the CDC, it isn't really good enough for me.

I'm adding some fuel to my weight loss program next week. I have a few things I plan on doing. When I add them all together, my weight loss program should flourish. I am going to change up my diet, spend more time on my elliptical, and add some supplements to my program. I hope that all of this together will give me the results I am looking for.

Finding an Inner Calm

There are some moments in time that make me think that something as simple as putting one foot in front of the other is just too much. In those moments, the only way that I can make it to the next without a total collapse is by finding my inner calm. That isn't always easy.

Over the past few months, I have discovered that I get overwhelmed easily. Constant noise, constant movement, constant drama...they all drive me to my breaking point. I just can't handle it. Most days I'm not bothered by it all, but other days are just one long test.

With five children (and a husband) at home every single second of every single day, my house is always insane. How do I find my inner calm in the midst of all that? I usually go to the basement for a few minutes of quiet. Don't laugh! I go down there and do laundry. The basement is quiet. The basement is cool. The basement is bright. The basement is still.

Instead, I plan on eating a healthy diet and exercising. There are a lot of supplements and other options available these days to people who want to lose weight. I'm going to try some of these out and let y'all know how they work.
